“LIFE WITHOUT VIOLENCE”
The project “Life without violence” was created to prevent sexual violence among adolescents by conducting an information campaign among children, professionals who work with them daily, as well as an interactive SMART-party.
Fall of the year 2015. The project received funding from the United Nations Refugee Agency. Two trainings were held – a workshop on “Prevention of sexual violence among adolescents” for 50 representatives of NGOs and the public sector, as well as a SMART-party for 200 teenagers in the Zaporozhzhia city.
Within the framework of the project a thematic competition of social outdoor advertising was held:
December 2016 year. The project “Life without violence” continued its work within the framework of the international action “16 days without violence”. Six SMART-parties were held in Zaporizhzhzhia and Donetsk regions (controlled territory), which was visited by more than 800 teenagers.
The project was implemented in partnership with the Foundation for the Right to the Zahist, supported by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
May of 2017. The project was implemented in the city of Berdyansk, Zaporozhzhia region and the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. Within the framework of the project, two SMART-parties were held.
The project was implemented with the financial support of the International Alert office in Ukraine.
Within the framework of the project more than 3,000 copies of informational booklets were developed and distributed by qualified psychologists of the fund, as well as a redirection system in the Zaporozhzhia and Donetsk regions (controlled part).
Positive changes that have occurred due to the project:
- Formation of negative public opinion regarding all forms of violence;
- Adolescents (boys and girls) have received reliable information about the problem of sexual violence and ways to overcome it;
- Debunking a gender stereotype that only girls can become victims of sexual violence;
- Mobilization of adolescents, inclusion of youth in the formation of civil society.
